Privacy Policy

1. Files You Upload
Files uploaded to My PDF Labs are processed solely to perform the requested operation. They are stored in temporary, isolated server storage and automatically deleted within 1 hour of upload, regardless of whether the operation completed successfully. We do not read, analyse, or share your document contents.
2. Account Data
If you create an account, we store your name and email address in a secure database. Passwords are encrypted using industry-standard bcrypt hashing and are never stored in plain text. We do not sell, rent, or share personal account data with third parties.
3. Cookies and Local Storage
My PDF Labs uses strictly necessary session cookiesmanaged by NextAuth.js solely to keep you signed in when you create or log into an account. These cookies contain an encrypted session token and do not track your browsing activity across other websites. We do not use persistent tracking cookies, client profiling, or unauthorized device fingerprinting. Document editing state is kept temporarily in your browser's active memory and is cleared when you close or refresh the tab.
4. Advertising and Google AdSense
We may use third-party advertising companies, including Google AdSense, to serve advertisements when you visit our website. Google and other third-party vendors use cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website or other websites on the Internet:
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and Switzerland are served ads in compliance with Google's EU User Consent Policy through a Google-certified Consent Management Platform (CMP).
- You may opt out of personalized advertising at any time by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info.
5. Analytics and Server Logs
We collect basic, anonymised server logs (IP addresses, request paths, HTTP status codes, and browser user-agent headers) strictly for operational security, rate limiting, and system diagnostic purposes. These logs do not contain document contents and are automatically rotated and purged.
6. Third-Party Authentication
If you sign in using Google OAuth, Google will share your basic profile info (name, email, and avatar) with us in accordance with your Google Account permissions. This information is used exclusively to provision and identify your My PDF Labs account.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Uploaded files and converted output documents are purged automatically within 1 hour. Registered account credentials remain active until deletion is requested. You may request complete and permanent deletion of your account and related records at any time.
